Data Import Overview

Overview

This article lists each of the fields that can be imported into your CMMS. You can also find a sample CSV file that you can download, and use as a guide when creating your import file.

To correctly import your data into Fiix, follow these steps:

  1. Create your Custom Fields
  2. Import Users
  3. Import Business
  4. Import Assets
  5. Import Parts
  6. Import Task Groups
  7. Import PMs
  8. Import old Work Orders
  9. Import Meter Readings
  10. Import Asset Events

 

1. Custom Fields

In your old CMMS system, you may have created custom fields on the asset record. For example, wingspan for a plane, or max towing weight for a truck. Before you can import this data into Fiix, you need to create those custom fields in CMMS Settings as per this procedure - Create Custom Fields

 

2. Users

Note* active user: 1 for yes, 0 for no

* Note: If you are going to import group name and task description, the order is important. Column 1 should be "Group Name", column 2 should be "Task Description"
