Zendu Maintenance – Duplicate assets gets created while changing the asset code

Issue

Whenever you are try to change the asset code it is creates a duplicate asset instead of modifying the original asset's code.

Reason

Duplicate assets gets created because because the asset information is getting pulled from the Mygeotab database. If any vehicle/asset is already present on Mygeotab it is going to populate the information automatically from Mygeotab. Therefore, the codes that starts with b means that this asset is present on Mygeotab and all the information is generating from Mygeotab. So whenever you are going to change the code it is going to create a duplicate asset instead of changing the code for that original asset.

Please don't change the codes that start with b as they are the automatically generated codes and it can also affect the syncing of data with Mygeotab for that asset. However, if you want to add any additional information or if you want to add the code you can do that in notes section.
