Level 1 Troubleshooting

(Routine Connectivity & Install Check)
Check for connectivity and installation issues:

For the unit that is newly purchased, please connect the devices to the power and wait a few (for the first time, sometimes up to ten) minutes – eventually the cameras will turn on and connect to the system. If not,
Check to ensure the device is securely mounted and installed according to instructions. Is it loose or missing a zip tie? If the white wire is loose or connected to the wrong source.
Check if the red wire is connected to constant power, white wire to true ignition, and both black wires to the ground?

Check if the SIM and SD cards are inserted into appropriate slots. If yes, provide us the sim card# to check the status.
Power cycle the device by removing it from the diagnostic port or harness, then reinserting it. Does the issue persist?  Shake the device or press the panic button and see if the monitor is lighting up with the CAR icon.
If the unit is powering on, Go to settings and find out if the unit is in the calibrated state, Firmware version is up to date (3.8.16)
If the unit is not powering on or not working after performing the above-mentioned steps. RMA can be processed.

Note: Regardless of hardware issues, always make sure the user has checked each and every connection — including harnesses and/or the IOX, if applicable. The vast majority of issues result from insecure connections.
