MyInstallHub: How to Validate your IoT Installs - For Installers

Signing up as an Installer:

  1. Sign up as an installer at: https://zen-iot-hub-dev.web.app/register

Downloading the App and getting started:

  1. Download the app using the following links:
  1. For iPhone users, MIH Validation App on App Store: https://apps.apple.com/in/app/my-install-hub/id6479599122

  1. For Android users, MIH Validation App on Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zenduit.iothub&hl=en-IN

  1. Login as an installer to the app using the credentials you setup in step 1.

Conducting an Install Validation:

  1. Add the device serial:

  1. You can manually type the serial number in the field provided.

  2. Alternatively, you can also use the scan barcode / QR code option if your device has a serial number.

  3. If you are adding a BLE beacon for indoor tracking, you can use the “locate beacons via bluetooth” option.

  1. Once the device serial is added, the app will automatically fetch the tracker type based on the information.
  1. If the tracker type is not detected, then you can manually select the tracker type from the drop-down.
  2. If the tracker type is incorrectly detected, you can select the tracker type again from the drop-down to fix the issue.
  1. Once the device information is ready, the app will check if the device exists in database:

  1. If the device already exists in the database, its information will be pre-populated and the user will be taken to the confirmation screen.

  2. If the device does not exist in the database, the user will be asked to add the device to the database by adding its information like device name, fleet email ID, groups, etc.
  1. A confirmation screen is shown before final submission to add the device to the database.
  2. A confirmation email is sent to the fleet manager’s email address.

  1. On the confirmation screen in the app, the installer can now add specific information like:
  1. installation status
  2. asset details,
  3. other information like pictures and notes.
  4. Installers can also add additional email addresses for a confirmation email, apart from the fleet manager’s email address.

  1. Once this is ready, the installer can see the communication details from the device before final submission to make sure it’s working properly.

  2. Once the installation is done and form is submitted, the installer can now proceed to add other devices.

  3. Fleet managers can see confirmation emails in the mailbox as well as updated details on the assets page on the trax / ZenduIoT application.
