Managing Fleet Hours with Zendu TimeCard

Managing Fleet Hours with Zendu TimeCard

Managing fleet work hours has always been challenging due to the unique nature of fleet operations. Unlike traditional office settings, fleet employees spend most of their day on the road, making it difficult for supervisors to consistently monitor their activities. Payroll administrators face added complexities, such as verifying hours accurately, dealing with late arrivals, early departures, or unaccounted breaks. In other cases, employees may overlook tracking their hours, leaving administrators to reconcile missing information.

Traditional Time Tracking and the Evolution Toward Automation

Historically, fleets have relied on GPS tracking as a basic time-management tool. GPS tracking verifies employee locations, retains historical data, and enables payroll staff to quickly address discrepancies or instances of time fraud. However, as fleet operations evolve, payroll teams are seeking more advanced, automated solutions to handle payroll seamlessly.

Automating Time Management with Zendu TimeCard

Zendu TimeCard streamlines fleet time tracking by automating key payroll tasks. With Zendu TimeCard, payroll administrators can track, record, and verify hours automatically, eliminating the need for manual entries and reducing potential errors.

Setting Up Zendu TimeCard

Implementing Zendu TimeCard is straightforward. It involves two main steps:

1. Install Geotab and Driver ID Systems: Geotab tracks vehicle movements, while Driver ID systems record driver check-ins and check-outs.

2. Add Zendu TimeCard to the Geotab Portal: Once Zendu TimeCard is installed as an add-in within the Geotab portal, it gathers Driver ID data and organizes it according to the User Settings configured by payroll administrators. User Settings allows staff to automate payroll reporting by setting standard work hours and designated break times.

Key Features and Results with Zendu TimeCard

Zendu TimeCard provides payroll staff with a comprehensive set of features:

Key In/Key Out Tracking: This data helps administrators verify work hours when needed, providing a transparent record of when employees start and end their shifts.
